My name is Nasim and I am trying to get my zip archive extracted. I have two archive files in my target location. The first one is a Windows archive, the second one is a Linux archive. With the default ZipOutPutStream, I can only get the extraction working on the Windows archive but not on the Linux archive. I have enabled the setCompression method and specified the options as follows:
You should probably add a file extension to the name of your compressed file. This is done when you compress it. So when you open the compressed file for viewing you can select if you want to see it or not. If you open it and it says that it is not an extension, then something is wrong. You can use the file extension to confirm the file is compressed and what format it is in. Otherwise, you can always open the compressed file and manually remove the extension for viewing.
I am unable to extract any compressed file and the file extracted appears in the new location in.extracted file. The size of the extracted file is not matching the size of the compressed file. I am using Linux Mint 14 Nadia
As you can see from my post, I was expecting to see an extracted file on the target location. But it is not working. I have searched the net and can’t find a solution. The compressed file is showing up in my destination location with the name with the file name extension and with the original size of the compressed file. But when I open it and try to extract it, it is not extracting to the destination location. I’ve tried several different methods, but no luck.
Now your configuration folder is available for anyone to view and download. You can even change the sharing settings on your compressed folder if you want to prevent others from downloading or viewing the contents of your configuration file.
This gives you all of the benefits of compression and the convenience of having everything in one place. You also save disk space because you no longer need to keep copies of your source files on your computer.
Batch processes files into multiple folders at once. The amount of data processed per folder is based on the amount of free space available on the destination folder (assuming the destination folder exists).
The destination folders must be local folders or UNC paths. If a local folder is specified, the destination folder contents will be extracted to the same place. If a UNC path is specified, the destination folder contents will be placed in the root of the remote share. If you are using a network share as a destination, specify its path using the special syntax:
Select the Copy the email as it appears in Exchange checkbox to export the selected emails to a ZIP file. This option appears when you select the entire mailbox as the destination in the folders pane. This option is primarily used to work around the 260 character limit in Windows file path names when items are exported.
Right-click the file, select Send to, and then select ZIP File. Most files, once compressed into a ZIP file, will reduce in size from anything like 10 to 75%, depending how much available space there is within the file data for the compression algorithm to do its magic. 827ec27edc
