Mission Impossible 4 Torrent [UPDATED]

I was so bummed when they closed GP. I miss the vegan appetizers, the bruschetta and the cheesecake so much. I was sure that they turned vegan because there was no room for a market and the small scale/local stuff cannot support the business.

I ate there the first time with friends from NYC when I moved to Richmond back in the 90s. The vegan appetizers were the only vegetarian ones I found at that time. They also had a really good morning smoothie that was GF but not vegan. They also had the best receipe for vegan banana nut muffins. I ate at many VCU campus eateries and while GP was ok, I was always disappointed with the selection. It seemed like all other vegan places had more exciting stuff and clean lines, while GP was cozy, warm and comforting.

Grace Place was a gem that sadly closed in Dec. 1974. It served vegetarian and vegan food and was easy to get to from U. Richmond. I remember Morgan or Nivonna distributing small signs to people about the infamous feta-free feta and this or that, with many of my peers signing it-: pile of misspelled words, into a sign and posting it on the website back in the day. Bad sign, because, no matter how many people signed, the feta-free feta prevailed at GP!God bless and keep loving Greensboro South, VPAC.

I was pushed out of GP by a disagreement with the owner. I didn't feel like I was treated very well and I still think there could be a better way for us all to work together. GP was like the carousel I had fun on as a kid, my family went there every time we went to the circus. I really want the circular piece of land to be a fenced in park that will be a gathering place for regular people in the neighborhood, not the tourists who come there for holidays and special occasions. John and I both feel this is a real need in the city. And I know many people keep up these small eateries in our city who don't have the resources to keep going because they are really resonating with the city and being successful. d2c66b5586
