Turning this into a webapp would be the logical way forward. Rust is a very small, statically typed language, so could be pretty easy to take an existing webapp and rewrite it in Rust. A small Rust project would cost around $150-$300, and you should be able to get back about 60-70% of that in running costs.*
There are a number of hosting services that might be able to host your site for you, for a price. There are also commercial tools available that would make this process much easier. Long term there are a number of ways that Magic could grow. If a new mapping strategy for Illumina enabled cheaper sequencing or lower barriers for barcode retrieval, and if the cost of creating a new set became low, the game could grow exponentially. Magic: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015 is the first of the Duels series and the first Magic game in the new universe from Wizards of the Coast. It's an amazing game. Check out the blog post . Duels of the Planeswalkers has it all: legendaries, artifacts, lands, spirits, artifacts, and vaults. At 6 MB, it's about the smallest product ever to have a worth-playing ability (WPA). It's surprisingly well-balanced, and has some truly amazing plays, especially in multiplayer. It's the most exciting thing to come out of the Throne of Eldraine block to date.
Duels: Duels of the Planeswalkers could use a Duel Commander specialist. I'm told that Wizards likes ideas as much as they do actual rules, so it shouldn't be too much work to see if any come along. Duels: Duels of the Planeswalkers has a really cool trading format. d2c66b5586
