Hotel Bosque del Mar is a family of companies dedicated to tourism and began with the opening of Tilajari Hotel Resort in 1989 in the Arenal Volcano area. Later in 2003, they acquired a unique beachfront property in Guanacaste then called “Cabinas Playa Hermosa”. This legendary lodging site was the first of its kind in Playa Hermosa, during the 1960s.
The old cabins were popular due to their excellent location facing a virgin beach with calm waters. It was also characterized by a good restaurant and splendid tropical gardens with hundred-year-old trees that are still preserved and have been complemented by the design of low-maintenance gardens with tropical species that guarantee the sensation of walking through a small jungle where the suites are immersed.
It began a renovation process in 2008-2009, which transformed the facilities into a high-end boutique hotel that combines its ecological architecture with comfort and privacy. Thus, the beach property of Hamilton Leisure Group is consolidated.
Shortly after, the development of Mirador Arenal 1968 also began, an impressive natural park at the foot of the Arenal Volcano with trails for hiking and mountain biking through the lava flows of the largest eruptions of the colossus in the last century. After more than 50 years, a special type of vegetation has grown that also allows the presence of fauna that inhabits it. In addition, the park has an incredible viewpoint for a panoramic view of the volcano and Lake Arenal while visitors relax with a good meal or drink in its cafeteria.
More recently, the project in progress is Hacienda Caño Negro. Located on the northern border of Costa Rica and developed with a concept of luxury rural and ecological tourism around the exuberant Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, an internationally recognized site in the RAMSAR convention for the importance of its wetlands and the splendid wealth of life wild around you.
